The crown jewel of Morris County.

From its roots as a key site during the Revolutionary War, it has retained its prominence as the political and economic center of the County and region. From its nucleus around the Morristown Green, the Town has flourished into a vibrant and innovative community with a diverse range of people, architecture, and uses. Modern apartment buildings complement the Town’s historic estates and single-family homes. Employment centers from Headquarters Plaza, to the Morristown Medical Center, and all the small businesses in between draw workers and shoppers from across the region. The Town has both a vibrant, dense downtown and an extensive park network that includes historic national parks. All these components make Morristown one of the most attractive places to live and work in the NYC metropolitan area.

Yet Morristown does not rest on its laurels and always seeks to improve. More recently, the Town’s modern form-based code enabled the Town to harmoniously complement its historic architecture with new development. Additionally, the Town has created key ratables through redevelopment, including the award-winning M-Station and Market + Banket multi-phase developments.

Morristown’s public officials also proactively further the Town’s growth and development policies. Since 2014, the Town has worked with Topology to adopt a new Master Plan, a Master Plan Re-examination (its form-based code), a new Housing Element & Fair Share Plan, new Town ordinances, and numerous redevelopment plans and amendments. As the Board Planner, Topology has worked with the Board of Adjustment on dozens of applications and planning reviews. Currently, Topology is streamlining the Town’s land use administration process.

Topology thoroughly enjoys working with the Town on these admirable efforts and is excited to continue to build these relationships with the incredibly dedicated residents and public employees that make even difficult tasks rewarding. To that end, we have prepared this proposal to guide our relationship in 2022 and beyond.
